Bal Bharti School was founded in the year 1968 by Mrs. R. W Bakht, wife of a retired I.C.S officer. What started as a small nursery school soon became registered as a society with an eminent educationalist from Banaras Miss. Mogul Mahmud as its first President. Ever since the school has had its own journey under the able stewardship of many well known personalities. Mr. Atul Rai, grandson of Munshi Premchand, the noted hindi writer became the President of the society, thereafter Mr. H.R.A Bakht a full bright scholar who has returned from the United States of America after finishing his studies from the Columbia University soon became the Secretary of the School.

We follow Montessori system in primary and NCERT based syllabus in classes VI-VIII. For classes X and XII the school is affiliated to CBSE and follow their curriculum. The Bal Bharti School offers all three streams from class XI: Science, Humanities and Commerce. The pattern of examination is in accordance with the board directives. The emphasis at this level shifts towards rigorous preparation of a student to meet the academic challenges of the prescribed course.

About Our School

Secretary of School Society

Mrs.Shooby Bakht is a post graduate in human rights. Child psychology was a part of her graduation programme. She has been working in close proximity with children since a long time. The activity based learning programme of the school has been initiated by her.

Subject close to her heart is art and design. Much of the activities undertaken in the school revolve around this. She has invited many folk artists and artisans for workshops and lectures. She travels much to learn about different cultures, traditions and architecture.
